I am Michel, a cultural anthropologist, a linguist and translator (French-English-Spanish). I teach French Language and Culture in Washington DC metro area as well as cultural anthropology at Montgomery College (Maryland). My interests include language and cultures, gender and development; Project Management, Art, Design and Representation, Technology and Education; International migration and forced eviction. I recently published a novel titled “The Tribulations of a Sahelian Traveler” and a collection of poems: “La Parole Muette et les Echos de la Justice||Mute Speech and the Echoes of Justice”. My recent research projects include the experience of African migrant teachers in US schools, as well as an article titled Linguistic Boundaries, Subjectivity, and Representations in Americanah, a novel by Chimamanda Adichie Nogozie, and a novel project on urban renewal. I am also interested in online learning platforms. As a result, I took various courses on Lynda.com, Udemy.com; Coursera and earned a MicroMasters Certificate in Instructional Design and Technology offered by the University of Maryland University College via Edx.org. Since then, I have been exploring various authoring tools and LMS to improve my skills in instructional technology through experiential learning, that is learning by doing. |
